Description:	The hearing will provide an opportunity for a dialogue and exchange of views between officials from UNCTAD member States, representatives of civil society and the private sector, and will focus on the preparations for UNCTAD XII. Topics to be discussed: The "New Regionalism" Capturing the benefits of globalization The report of the hearing will be presented to the Trade and Development Board at its closing plenary on 11 October 2007.
