IAC - Investment Advisory Council

The Investment Advisory Council (IAC) is a platform for high-level consultations between government leaders and Chief Executive Officers of global companies on key and emerging issues related to investment and sustainable development. Established during the Third United Nations Conference on Least Developed Countries (LDC-III) in May 2001, the IAC is a joint undertaking by UNCTAD and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

The IAC provides senior business executives and senior government officials with an informal and flexible framework for discussing and exploring practical ways of attracting foreign direct investment and benefiting from it.

The 2011 UNCTAD-ICC Investment Advisory Council will take place during the Fourth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (Istanbul, Turkey, 9 - 13 May 2011).
