An ongoing investment policy issue is the corporate social responsibility (CSR) of Transnational Corporations (TNCs). Since the early 2000s, the world has seen the rise of an increasingly complex mix of CSR codes and standards.
The Division’s work in this area seeks to analyse policies on CSR with a view to identifying best practices for maximizing the development impact of corporate activities, in particular by TNCs (Accra Accord, para.152).
