21 June 2016Global foreign direct investment reached its highest level since 2008
The UNCTAD World Investment Report 2016 says that the global recovery in foreign direct investment (FDI) was strong in 2015, with foreign direct investment flows jumping by 38%. However, part of the growth in FDI was due to very large corporate reconfigurations by multinational enterprises, including shifting their headquarters for strategic reasons.
03 July 2013Secretary-General strikes note of caution at London launch of World Investment Report
The World Investment Report post-launch seminar, which was held at the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) in London on Monday, 1 July, brought together representatives from UK Trade and Investment, the Department for International Development, think tanks such as the ODI, non-governmental organizations, and academia, to examine the findings of this year's report.
