The Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) and UNCTAD are partnering to host a meeting in Washington D.C. centred on the role of the software industry in developing countries.

The event will feature highlights from UNCTAD's Information Economy Report 2012: The Software Industry and Developing Countries and a discussion will be held with ANDE members and partners on the implications of these findings for organizations working on small and growing business development in developing markets.

The Information Economy Report 2012 is the seventh edition in the flagship series published by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). As one of the few annual reports that monitor global trends related to information and communication technologies (ICTs) from a development perspective, the Report is a valuable reference for policymakers.
