Following the first workshop in Menongue on Sustainable Tourism for Development within the framework of the interagency collaboration between UNDP Angola and UNCTAD/TrainForTrade, two workshops will be held in the provinces of Malanje and Namibe, Angola.
This introduction course aims to strengthen local human resources in the public and private sectors in the provinces, and increase awareness on the benefits of a sustainable approach for the tourism sector.
The next step will be to strengthen capacities on management of sustainable tourism projects through a national workshop in Luanda, and a provincial workshop in Benguela, where the introduction course had been delivered in 2011.
