Seminar on Cloud Computing and E-Government

​The Seminar on Cloud Computing and E-Government will take place on 2–3 December 2013 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The seminar is organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), with the support of the Ministry of Security and Public Administration (MOSPA) of the Republic of Korea.
 
The seminar is held in conjunction with the launch of the Information Economy Report 2013: The Cloud Economy and Developing Countries. The report explores trends and focuses particularly on the implications of cloud computing and e-government for developing country policymakers and businesses. The meeting will offer an opportunity for policymakers to understand better the opportunities and challenges emerging from cloud computing. It will also present the outcomes of the information and communications technology (ICT) country studies undertaken by ECA, as well as a new set of e-government indicators developed by ECA as part of the Partnership on Measuring ICT for Development
 
Seminar participants will include government officials from countries in Africa, experts and resource persons.
