The 15th Raul Prebisch Lecture, organized by UNCTAD on the occasion of its 50th anniversary, will be given by H.E. Rafael Correa Delgado, President of Ecuador, at the Palais des Nations, Geneva, on 24 October 2014.

President Correa's lecture – entitled "Ecuador: Development as a Political Process" – will cover efforts by his country to build a model of equitable and sustainable development, as well as the lessons learned from implemented policies.

With no fast or ready-paved road to development success, the body of knowledge amassed by developing countries such as Ecuador offers a unique perspective on future development challenges of interest to all who believe in a fairer world.

Established in 1982, UNCTAD's Raul Prebisch Lecture Series allows prominent personalities to speak to a wide audience on burning trade and development topics.
