UNCTAD will make a presentation at a session titled "Value Added Services and Innovations", during the 2015 edition of the Commonwealth Broadband Forum titled "Broadband for All: From Access to Inclusion." In this session, UNCTAD will present the findings of the UNCTAD Global Cyberlaw Tracker which maps worldwide laws in the areas of e-transactions, cybercrime, data protection/privacy and consumer protection as well as the findings of the 2015 Information Economy Report. A panel discussion will follow and will address the challenges and opportunities of monetizing mobile content.
The Commonwealth Broadband Forum will discuss policy approaches and regulatory interventions needed to promote broadband, showcase cost-effective and efficient technologies, and examine successful business models while facilitating partnerships.
