The study tour is organized by the UNCTAD Virtual Institute (Vi, DGDS) at the request of Chinese University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) and the Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE).
During one week, students will undergo tailored training on trade and development delivered by UNCTAD’s divisions and programmes, the WTO, ITC and the Permanent Mission of China.
The programme includes sessions on the international financial system, foreign direct investment, technology and innovation, sustainable development goals, non-tariff measures, climate change, trade facilitation, multilateral trade negotiations, trade policy of China, and WTO dispute settlement. The study tour will also offer a hands-on session on ITC’s market research and analysis tools and a simulation exercise on FDI.
