The objective of the meeting was to enhance the negotiating capacity of African Multilateral Negotiators on the important issues of market access in the current round of WTO negotiations. Technical aspects of the market access issues in agriculture, non-agriculture and services were clarified. The "July Package" and its implications for African countries were discussed and recommendations for their negotiation strategy developed.
