Key Issues

This was the second of a series of "Brown Bag" lunches that aim to make the legal issues of WTO Panel and Appellate Body rulings more accessible to developing country negotiators and other interested stakeholders. The series will continue with cases in the area of trade in services, agriculture and intellectual property rights.

Participants addressed the Appellate Body and Panel Decisions in the case: EC - Export Subsidies on Sugar. Mr. Niall Meagher (Advisory Centre on WTO Law) explained the case, Ms. Nicole Clarke (Permanent Mission of Barbados) and Mr. Tiya Mphepo (South Centre) provided short comments, offering a developing country perspective.
