Key Issues

The objective of the course is to strengthen the capacity of Latin American countries in the management of their investment disputes. More specifically, it is to equip Latin American government officials and practitioners with the necessary capacity to manage investor-State disputes in the implementation of their recently signed free trade agreements, to train participants on the new developments related to investor-State disputes, to promote the exchange of lessons learned and experiences of countries with respect to the management of investment disputes, and to promote networking and interface among Latin American government officials, including through the use of a website for alumni.
