UNCTAD has invited think-tank AccountAbility to discuss the findings of their new report: Responsible Competitiveness: Reshaping Global Markets through Responsible Business Practices, with a panel of experts in Geneva.

UNCTAD´s event complements a series of international launches, hosted by the World Bank in Washington D.C. and the UN Global Compact in Shanghai.

The AccountAbility report presents evidence suggesting that enterprise productivity can be enhanced by adopting business strategies and practices that take into account social, economic and environmental impacts. This research was undertaken in association with the leading Brazilian business school, Fundaçao Dom Cabral, along with input from business networks, research organisations and public institutions in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America.
