The workshop is organized by UNCTAD in collaboration with the Andean Community Secreatriat, in order to:

• Clarify the different concepts involved with the WTO (World Trade Organisation);
  
  
• Comment on the results of the work on services that was undertaken by the Andean Community.

The workshop will include presentations on:

• The current state of play and perspectives of the negotiations on Services in the World Trade Organisation (WTO)
  
  
• Services in the Bilateral Agreement with the USA, including the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) with Peru and Colombia

The results of the work on services in the Andean Community will also be presented with a focus on:

• Accounting services
  
  
• Engineering services
  
  
• Tourism services
  
  
• Distribution services
  
  
• Postal Services

Participants will include government officials from Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru
