In the context of its assistance to countries acceding to the WTO, UNCTAD conducted a workshop for members of the Afghanistan WTO Task Force.

The purpose of the workshop was to: help the negotiating team of Afghanistan to better understand the WTO Accession process and various WTO agreements; and provide input for the preparation of Accession-related documents.

In addition the draft Memorandum on Foreign Trade Regime of Afghanistan, prepared by the Afghan Government, was reviewed.
