Key Issues

UNCTAD will hold two national consultative meeting to review the consumer Protection law and unfair trade practices in Thimphu and Chukha Dzongkhags. The aim of the consultations is to seek the views of Business, consumer representatives and government departments on how to deal with unfair trade practices affecting consumers and arising form the opening of the economy to Trade and Investment. The two consultative meetings will be followed up by workshops on consumer redress and small claim settlements. This assistance is provided by UNCTAD under the Least Developed programme.
