The Islamic Development Bank organized a seminar on the development dimension of the current WTO negotiations.
Participants included civil servants and officials from the 56 member countries of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference.
UNCTAD contributed to the seminar with two presentations:
- Development dimensions of the Doha Development Agenda: perspectives on the market access issues (agriculture, NAMA and Services)
- Addressing the Global food Crisis: Key trade, investment and commodity policies in ensuring sustainable food security and alleviation poverty - How can WTO rules and regulations contribute to food securities?
