Key Issues

In the context of its assistance to developing countries and LDCs, UNCTAD took part in a training activity on Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) and Rules of Origin organized by the Indonesian province of Surabaya for its customs and trade officials.

UNCTAD provided the participants with an overview and recent developments in GSP and Rules of Origin.

UNCTAD also led discussions on the position Indonesia should adopt in these areas and how to reap benefit from the current rules.

This workshop contributed to building the expertise of Indonesian officials on technical aspects of multilateral trade rules.
