On conclusion of the COMESA regulations on Trade in Services earlier this year, COMESA member states are in the process of negotiating guidelines and identifying priority sectors.

In view of assisting in these negotiations, UNCTAD will provide:

• an overview of COMESA member states services commitments in the international fora
  
  
• inputs on the COMESA draft negotiating guidelines to the COMESA regulations on trade in services
  
  
• insight on the choice of priority sectors for negotiations
  
  
• technical and drafting inputs during the negotiations
