The workshop is being held at the request of the national authorities to improve the protection of consumers in Angola. It aims to sensitize policy makers and civil society to the importance of consumer protection and the need for regulation to ensure law enforcement and facilitate market surveillance.
The workshop is intended for decision-makers, middle and senior managers and experts from the Angolan government involved in the definition, implementation and enforcement of consumer protection policies, especially the Ministry of Commerce.
Participants will acquire knowledge relevant to the implementation consumer protection laws and regulations.
The workshop is organized within the framework of the EC-funded TrainForTrade project for Angola, and in collaboration with the UNCTAD Competition and Consumer Policies Branch.
