Key Issues

Trade Information Services are known for hands-on practical approaches and solution-oriented support to businesses. A large number of tools have been developed over the past few years to help Trade Support Institutions provide services that aim to increase international trade competitiveness of local companies. The objective of this workshop is to train Bhutanese managers to take advantage of these opportunities and selected tools.

The workshop offers practical training on a wide range of tools and services developed by the International Trade Centre UNCTAD/WTO. Its objective is to build the capacity of Trade Support Institutions, as well as other workshop participants from Bhutan, to provide services in this area. It consists of presentations of strategic tools, on-the-job training, customization of tools, as well as consultancy services.

The Workshop is targeted at:

  • Managers and information officers of business information services in ministries/government departments, trade promotion organizations, chambers of commerce, business associations, etc.
  • Market and information researchers
  • Academia
  • Technicians and information technology specialists
