The objective of this seminar is to raise awareness among senior decision-makers from the government, private sector, civil society and academia about what can be realistically achieved with the Internet and how to use this modern tool for the development of trade support services and the conduct of business operations. The seminar also identifies the potential commercial pitfalls of the Internet.
The content of the seminar has been customised to Bhutan. To illustrate ideas and concepts, real cases from both Bhutan and foreign (developing and developed) countries are referred to. Particular emphasis is given to the concerns of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) engaged in international trade and in the tourism industry.
