UNCTAD Statistics
Statistics is an inherent part of UNCTAD. Being the United Nations' focal point for the integrated treatment of trade and development and the interrelated issues in the areas of finance, technology, investment and sustainable development, UNCTAD compiles, validates and processes a wide range of data collected from national and international sources. Another interesting observation is an income level among developing economies: the high-income group has lost the global share from 27% in 1995 to 14% in 2012, whereas the middle-income group and low-income group have grew from 18% and 8% in 1995 to 40% and 14% in 2012 respectively. Furthermore, the developed and transition economies reached the global share of 32% in 2012, an all-time-low.
