Norway's 2012 contribution to UNCTAD

Norway's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UNCTAD signed an agreement on 3 December to cover the 2012 Norwegian contribution to UNCTAD's technical cooperation activities.

The contribution of 3 million kroner, which approximates to about US$533,202, will be used to finance activities to be implemented in 2013 in the following six main areas of UNCTAD's technical cooperation work:

  1. Trade Facilitation and ASYCUDA Regional Centre in Southern and Eastern Africa

  2. Least Developed Countries (Trust Fund)

  3. Gender in Trade Policy

  4. Strengthening Result Management of UNCTAD Programme

  5. Capacity-Building for Investment for Development

  6. WTO Accession
