UNCTAD's Competition and Consumer Protection Week

UNCTAD's Competition and Consumer Protection Week

UNCTAD's Competition and Consumer Protection Week will take place in Geneva from 3 to 7 July 2017. It will host the Second Session of the Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Consumer Protection Law and Policy, from 3 to 4 July, and the Sixteenth Session of the Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Consumer Protection Law and Policy, from 5 July (afternoon) to 7 July. The Eight Meeting of the Research Partnership Platform will be held on 5 July in the morning.

The Intergovernmental Groups of Experts are the global fora for competition and consumer protection at the international and intergovernmental levels. They provide a forum for discussion and exchange of good practices and produce recommendations for member States on the implementation of the United Nations Set on Competition and the United Nations Guidelines for Consumer Protection, respectively. The Research Partnership Platform gathers academia and government officials to discuss research projects on competition and consumer protection issues.
