Key Issues

Towards the formation of the ASEAN Economic Community by 2015, ASEAN Leaders agreed to the ASEAN Economic Community Blue Print in 2007, in which they have committed to endeavour to introduce competition laws in all member states by 2015. In line with its commitment, the Brunei Government has started to work on the introduction of competition law.  
 
Purpose of the event 

The objective of the workshop is to assist the Brunei Government in the preparation of its competition law. It aims to develop awareness and consensus among various stakeholders on the competition law and policy. It also includes consultative discussions with the competition policy working group to further develop its policy paper on the competition law and policy.  

Expected outcome / Deliverables 
 
The event will facilitate to secure better understanding and support from various stakeholders on the competition law and policy, and contribute to further develop the policy paper.
