03 - 09 December 2012
Quito
, Ecuador

The training course, organised in cooperation with the Organisation of American States (OAS), aims to strengthen the capacity of Latin American Government officials in the negotiation, revision and renegotiation of sustainable development friendly international investment agreements (IIAs) and in the management of investor-State disputes. The course will benefit from the use of UNCTAD's most recently developed Investment Policy Framework for Sustainable Development (IPFSD), which offers a comprehensive set of policy options to operationalize sustainable development objectives when negotiating, revising or renegotiating IIAs.
