The Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) is a unique global partnership that helps to build trade capacity in the Least Developed Countries (LDCs). Through technical, institutional and financial support, the EIF helps the LDCs to diversify their economies and expand trade, moving along the path to graduation, and contributes to the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals. Through the global network of 48 LDCs plus three graduated countries (Cabo Verde, Maldives and Samoa), 24 Donors and 8 International Partner Agencies, the EIF programme provides an integrated and coordinated framework to support the LDCs' efforts to leverage trade for sustainable development. Aligned with Paragraph C. 3(e) of the IPoA, the EIF programme has been a critical mechanism and catalyst for development partner engagement and support to the LDCs' broader efforts in addressing supply-side constraints, building trade and productive capacity and export diversification and reducing poverty. Showcasing the EIF's unique partnership approach, this side event will profile country case stories and initiatives which demonstrate the role of the EIF as a framework for the coordination of trade‑related development assistance to the LDCs, based on country ownership and working in pursuit of the IPoA objectives.
