Trade can create prosperity for all of Africa’s people by increasing opportunities for income generation. UNCTAD research shows that promoting inclusive trade in Africa requires going beyond targeting vulnerable groups.
It will take addressing fundamental enablers so that women, men and youth can benefit from entrepreneurial activity and from trade’s impact on their communities.
Central to this is investment in productive capacities such as infrastructure, finance, energy, skills, policies, laws, regulations and people.
