1. Lectures on market studies for the Indonesia Competition Authority (KPPU) officials
in JICA training course organized in cooperation with Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC).
UNCTAD (CCPB) will present the objectives and methodology for market studies from UNCTAD’s
experience with other developing countries as well as how market studies are conducted in
developed countries.
2. UNCTAD (CCPB) will discuss with officials from KPPU, JFTC and JICA the terms of reference
for the market study to be conducted for several agricultural products, including rice, sugar,
salt, beef, chili and shallot, in Indonesia. UNCTAD will assist KPPU in conducting this market
study in collaboration with JFTC and JICA.
