UNCTAD's meeting with the CEMAC Commission about the new Regional Capacity building Project on Competition and Consumer Protection

​UNCTAD is organizing a consultative meeting with the Competition Directorate of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC) from 19th -21th June 2017. 

The objective is to discuss the work plan for the project activities, which covers eight countries: Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Chad, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, the Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, and São Tome and Principe.
 
The expected outcome of this mission will be a better understanding of the specific needs of the beneficiaries of the project at national and regional level.
 
The mission will provide the input for the final preparation of an operational annual plan for the project based on the priorities of the beneficiary countries.
 
Mr. Juan Luis Crucelegui, Chief Advisory Services and Capacity-building, Competition and Consumer Policies Branch (CCPB) and Mr. Yves Kenfack, the Project Officer, CCPB, from UNCTAD will participate in this activity and facilitate the discussions.
