Berlin Conference: Novel Antimicrobials & AMR Diagnostics

​The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) is invited to present its new area of work on fostering investment in innovation to tackle antimicrobial resistance (AMR) at the Berlin Conference on Novel Antimicrobials & AMR Diagnostics.

The event, which takes place March 2nd 2018, will bring together 200 AMR international experts.

This one-day-conference is organized by BIOCOM AG and the BEAM Alliance, representing biopharmaceutical companies from Europe innovating in antimicrobial resistance research.

The Fraunhofer-Forum in Berlin Germany will host experts from finance, business and science.

Christoph Spennemann, Legal Officer in UNCTAD, will present UNCTADs activities on match-making investors and Pharma industry that will feed into the World Investment Forum 2018 in Geneva, Switzerland.

UNCTAD invites interested development partners to contribute to its new program on Investing in the SDGs – global public health & well-being.

The 11th Berlin Conference comprises speakers with AMR expertise in areas such as financing (e.g. CARB-X, GARDP, EIB, World Health Organization, World Investment Forum, FIND Diagnostics), clinical trials & regulation (EMA, EUCAST, ESCMID), science (e.g. AMR Centre, Institut Pasteur, University of Edinburgh, University of Uppsala, DZIF, Fraunhofer Society, Leibniz Association) and industry (e.g. Janssen, Abbott).

Furthermore, more than 20 small and middle-sized enterprises will be present.
