Training course on Reforming International Investment Governance: Challenges and Implications

UNCTAD, in cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), is organizing a training course on "Reforming International Investment Governance: Challenges and Implications" in Casablanca.

The objective of the course is to assist the Member countries of the IDB, by helping policy-makers and negotiators to deepen their understanding of key issues in international investment governance.

The course will gather experts and stakeholders from various backgrounds and will consist of practical exercises on discussions of cross-cutting themes related to international investment governance. These will include, among others, FDI trends, regional investment frameworks in Member countries of IDB, UNCTAD's road map for IIA reform, substantive IIA clauses, investment dispute settlement, key IIA reform needs and the opportunity to share the experience that other countries and regions have with reforming their investment policy.
