The roundtable dinner will be attended by a number of experts in the area of intellectual property rights (IPRs) to review the experiences of selected countries in implementing new intellectual property obligations provided under recent bilateral and regional agreements.

The roundtable will focus on a presentation by Professor Frederick Abbott, Professor of International Law, Florida State University, College of Law, USA, of his paper "Intellectual Property Provisions of Bilateral and Regional Trade Agreements in Light of U.S. Federal Law", forthcoming as Issue Paper No. 12 under the UNCTAD-ICTSD Project on IPRs and Sustainable Development.
