UNCTAD is implementing a project on intellectual property rights (IPRs) and pharmaceutical production in least developed countries. The project is funded by the Government of Germany, which has invited UNCTAD to attend the workshop and the preparatory meeting.

The purpose of the workshop is to discuss with local Government officials and pharmaceutical producers issues related to IPRs, drugs regulation, and trade.

UNCTAD will be represented by Mr. Christoph Spennemann, Legal Expert, DITE.
