The event will present and discuss key findings of the first phase of the joint WHO-UNCTAD-ICTSD project, "Improving access to medicines in developing countries through local production and related technology transfer", funded by the European Union.

Agenda:

• Presentation of country case studies on local production and technology transfer.
  
  
• Presentation of the findings of the landscaping and mapping exercises on technology transfer related to vaccine, diagnostics and pharmaceuticals; and
  
  
• Discussion on future activities on local production and access to medical technologies.

The event is open for delegates from the WHO and other interested stakeholders.
