The fifty-first session of the Trade and Development Board will open at 10 a.m. on Monday, 4 October 2004, in Room XX at the Palais des Nations, Geneva.
Provisional agenda and organization of work
The provisional agenda for the fifty-first session was approved at the consultations of the President of the Board on 21 July 2004. The provisional agenda and its annotations are circulated in document TD/B/51/1.
Members of the Board are requested to submit to the Secretary-General of UNCTAD by Monday, 27 September 2004, the credentials of their representatives and the names of alternate representatives and advisers who will participate in the session.
Other participants (i.e. members of UNCTAD not members of the Board, the specialized agencies, intergovernmental bodies and non-governmental organizations in the General and Special Categories wishing to participate as observers) are requested to inform the Secretary-General of UNCTAD by 27 September 2004 of the names of their representatives.
Upon arrival, participants are requested before entering the Palais des Nations to collect their entry badge at the UN Security Service, Villa Les Feuillantines, 13 avenue de la Paix (just opposite the main entrance to the Palais on the Place des Nations). The Security Service is open from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. (non-stop). In order to avoid last-minute rushes and delays, it is advised that participants collect their ID badges early. From Villa Les Feuillantines to the E-Building of the Palais (Bâtiment E) it takes about 10 minutes walk. Participants are advised to carry a passport or similar identification document on them.
Communications concerning representation should be sent to the UNCTAD secretariat, Intergovernmental Affairs and Outreach Service, Palais des Nations, CH-1211 Geneva 10; fax: + 41(0)22 917 0056; e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
