UNCTAD Secretary-General Supachai Panitchpakdi hosted a retreat for Geneva based Ambassadors on the report that he commissioned from a Panel of Eminent Persons - "Enhancing the development role and impact of UNCTAD".

The objective of the retreat was to launch consultations among member States on the recommendations of the report. In total, 28 State representatives took part in their personal capacity.
