12 Nov 10 - Consultation meeting on improvements to the Internet Governance Forum (IGF)
The Chair of the CSTD Working Group on improvements to the IGF will hold a meeting on 24 November in Geneva, Switzerland.
Participation is open to representatives of national governments, civil society and the private sector as well as other interested groups or individuals.
The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), in its resolution 2010/2, asked the Chair of the CSTD to establish a Working Group to: "seek, compile and review inputs from all Member States and all other stakeholders on improvements to the Internet Governance Forum (IGF), in line with the mandate set out in the Tunis Agenda".
The Chair of the Working Group plans to organize two meetings (December 2010 and February 2011) before transmitting the results of their work to the CSTD at its fourteenth session in May 2011.
In addition to these meetings, consultations will be held to allow all stakeholders an opportunity to contribute to the process.
