13 Dec 10 - United Nations Commission on International Trade Law joins the Cluster
On behalf of all the agencies of the UN-Chief Executives' Board Cluster on Trade and Productive Capacity, UNCTAD is pleased to inform that the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law joined the Cluster on 13 December 2010.
The United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) is the 15TH member of the Cluster.
UNCITRAL is mandated with the preparation and promotion of legislative texts on international trade law with a view to creating a harmonized legal framework for international transactions that facilitates international trade and promotes economic growth.
The Cluster includes UNCTAD, UNIDO, FAO, WTO, ITC, UNDP, UNEP, ILO, UN-ECLAC, UN-ECE, UN-ESCAP, UN-ECA, UN-ESCWA, UNOPS, UNCITRAL.
