Application deadline for Turkey's scholarship programme for LDCs extended

The Permanent Mission of Turkey has informed that the deadline for application to Turkey's Graduate Scholarship Programme for students from least developed countries has been extended to 3 August 2012.​

The Graduate Programme is part of "Turkey's Economic and Technical Cooperation Package for the LDCs for the present decade" announced by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Fourth UN Conference on LDCs (UNLDC-IV) in Istanbul last year, and has been launched by the Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Council (TÜBITAK).

TÜBITAK will provide scholarships for graduate students from least developed countries in the fields of Natural Sciences, Engineering and Technological Sciences, Medical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities in Turkish universities for improving science and technology capacity of LDCs and building scientific and socio-economic bridges between LDCs and Turkey.
