Experts consider the impacts of climate change on international transportation infrastructure and services across modes.
Against a background of growing concerns over the potentially important impacts of climate change on international transportation infrastructure and services across modes, and in the spirit of the United Nations "delivering as one", UNCTAD and the UNECE co-organized a workshop on "Climate Change Impacts on International Transport Networks" which was held on 8 September 2010.
The joint workshop, which brought together a wide range of experts, including representatives from governments, academia, as well as inter-governmental and non-governmental organizations, provided an important first opportunity for considered discussions on a complex set of critical issues that has so far received little attention.
