According to preliminary estimates by UNCTAD and WTO, in the fourth quarter of 2013, world exports of services grew by 6%, as compared with the same quarter of the year before (balance-of-payments basis, current prices).
The estimates confirm the recovery of global services exchanges, particularly in Europe, which recorded the highest quarterly growth. Figures further indicate that the increase in world services trade observed was also sustained by Asia and Oceania and North America.
