With more than 90 developing economies dependent on commodity exports, building the human skills needed to add value to raw materials and provide decent work are key objectives to be discussed at UNCTAD Global Commodities Forum in Geneva on 23–24 April.
Registration is now open for the Global Commodities Forum: Building Skills for Sustainable Development, which will take place from 23-24 April 2018, at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.
Experts meeting in Geneva from 25-26 April, will discuss commodity markets and assess the trade and development implications of commodity dependence for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals — giving due attention to sectors relevant to commodity-dependent developing countries.
