In full partnership with the national Government, UNCTAD has prepared the Trade Development Strategy of Comoros.

The document identifies and focuses on three pro-poor development strategies and gives policy recommendations on tariff and trade policy, external resource mobilization, reorganization of internal markets and external financial resources, among others.

A trade- and statistic-related training course is organized prior to the validation workshop.

The course is necessary to ensure that this technical assistance will have long-lasting effects in the country.

The training course targets Government officials, private entrepreneurs, customs' officials and civil society representatives.​
