Bilateral Investment Treaties

UNCTAD provides the most comprehensive collection of full texts of BITs on a single online site.

• List of BITs concluded by a specific country, including signature date and entry into force.

• Text of a specific BIT concluded by two signatory countries.

The BITs' texts are collected by UNCTAD based on information provided by countries. The data is constantly updated, however not exhaustive.

Investor-State Dispute Settlement Cases

• Investor-State Dispute Settlement Database: A collection of publicly investor-State cases, shown by year, parties, applicable rules or venues, available decisions and status. The displayed data is based on extensive research and interviews, but represents only those claims which were disclosed by the parties or arbitral institutions.
