Aspectos Salientes

La Comisión se ocupará de dos de sus temas prioritarios, a saber:

  1. La ciencia, la tecnología y la innovación en apoyo de ciudades y comunidades periurbanas sostenibles.

  2. El acceso de banda ancha a Internet como medio de lograr una sociedad digital inclusiva.

La Comisión examinará asimismo los progresos realizados en la aplicación de los resultados de la Cumbre Mundial sobre la Sociedad de la Información.

Además se harán exposiciones sobre los exámenes de las políticas nacionales de ciencia, tecnología e innovación.

Entre los participantes figurarán representantes de los gobiernos, la sociedad civil, el sector privado y las organizaciones internacionales.
