30 Oct 2012 - UNCTAD and UNITAR offer online course on the Trade Dimension in United Nations Development Assistance Frameworks (UNDAFs)
Some 130 representatives of governments, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), universities, and related institutions had signed up for the course as of 22 October.
22 Oct 2012 - Assistance to Myanmar: inter-agency coordination ongoing
UNCTAD has held a meeting of the United Nations Inter-Agency Cluster on Trade and Productive Capacity with the Permanent Mission of Myanmar in Geneva. Participating in the meeting were representatives of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, the International Trade Centre, the United Nations Development Programme, the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law and the United Nations Office for Project Services.
18 Oct 2012 - Meeting of the Global Management Board of the SECO-sponsored UN Trade Cluster initiative
The Global Management Board of the UN Trade Cluster initiative, which is sponsored by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), met on 15 October 2012 to review its current operations, and to endorse its annual work plan for the Lao People's Democratic Republic, to discuss the next steps to be taken towards a new project to be launched in the United Republic of Tanzania, and to consider possible future projects in further countries.
