The Investment Policy Review (IPR) is intended to help Angola improve its investment environment for national and foreign investors, increase benefits from foreign direct investment (FDI) and to enhance the efficacy of investment promotion institutions.

During the fact-finding mission, the IPR team will meet with members of the Government, private sector, civil society and academia to gather the information needed to prepare the report. Through discussions and interviews with a broad range of investment stakeholders that will take place during the mission, Government officials will learn about UNCTAD’s approach to investment for sustainable development as reflected in the guidelines and core principles of the UNCTAD Investment Policy Framework for Sustainable Development.

In addition, the IPR report will propose concrete strategic and policy recommendations to attract increased FDI inflows and to maximize their development impact.
